From the Desk of the COO
As the stay-at-home order enters its fourth week here in Ohio, it’s important to remember that there are many businesses that are still open during this crisis and are employing local staff to provide essential services to the community.
At our Westlake property, Crocker Park, more than 20 businesses have been deemed essential and remain open to help serve their customers in this time of need. Each and every one of these businesses are constantly updating their procedures and communicating new policies to ensure the health and safety of both their staff and their customers. From grocery stores, to restaurants, to banks, and dry cleaners, these local companies and their workers are adapting to new mandates and important guidelines almost on a daily basis as new information comes to light in order to help serve us more efficiently and safely in this difficult time.
The same goes for our other properties: Eton Chagrin Boulevard in Woodmere, The Strip in North Canton, Portage Crossing in Cuyahoga Falls, as well as our strip centers in Mayfield Heights, Akron, and Fairlawn. Each of the stores and restaurants are doing their part to safely provide essential services to their community. More importantly, all of the individual workers are putting themselves on the front line day in and day out to help serve us during this unprecedented time, and comfort us by providing a sense of normalcy.
With that in mind, please be sure to support these businesses and their local staff by ordering curbside pickup, delivery, or by visiting during open hours and adhering to social distancing guidelines. Restaurant groups nationwide have come together to create “The Great American Takeout” and #TakeoutTuesday each Tuesday to help support restaurants and their employees. Additionally, many restaurants are offering great food and drink specials each Tuesday.
So as we continue to navigate these unchartered waters, remember that we are in this together and we must offer our support in every way we can to help us all get through this difficult situation. So be sure to order some takeout or delivery today and don’t forget to tip well.
Sincerely,
Ezra Stark, Chief Operating Officer
